Non-Presented Paper (No-Show) Policy

IEEE ISMAR 2019 enforces a "no show" policy. Any accepted paper included in the final program is expected to have at least one author or qualified proxy attend and present the paper at the conference. Authors of the accepted papers included in the final program who do not attend and present at the conference will be added to a "No Show List", compiled by the Conference. The "no show" papers will not be published by IEEE on IEEE Xplore or other public access forums, but these papers will be distributed as part of the on-site electronic proceedings and the copyright of these papers will belong to the IEEE.

Note: For poster sessions, if the speaker is not present in front of the poster for most of the time during the poster session, this implies "no show".

Industry participants have the opportunity to entertain dinner with organizing committees and invited experts.

Valid identification is required for on-site registration, and entrustment letter is required for collecting meeting materials on behalf of participants.

VISA

China has visa waiver agreements with only a few countries. No visa is required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore, Brunei and Japan to visit China for up to 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends or transit. For travelers from most other countries, a visa is required for entering China. A visa can be obtained from a local Consulate of China without difficulty of document preparation and long waiting. For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is not required for obtaining a Tourist visa.

To avoid uncertainty, participants will be advised to apply for a visa as early as possible. It is recommended that they apply for a Chinese visa one month in advance. While the Chinese visa application requires personal appearance and hand-in of passport during application, various travel agencies can help apply for the Chinese visa. Here are some such companies, but you are welcome to check out your local agencies:

Registration will be confirmed after receiving full payment. Those who do not receive a confirmation notice before the symposium are requested to contact the registration secretariat by registered_chairs@ismar19.org. Only participants who  registered will be included in the program.

The date of payment is decisive for the registration fee. Even if the registration form is received before the early bird deadline, it will not be considered as early registration if the payment has not been received before the deadline.

You will recieve your registration confirmation in 48 hours after you made your payment. Please note that it may take around 1 week to get your confirmation if the payment is made via bank transfer.
